Sylveen is a fully charted and state registered physiotherapist who graduated with a Bsc (HONS) Degree from Salford University in 2009. Initially working in the NHS in Liverpool and Manchester, Sylveen then moved on to working in the private sector, developing her interests within the field of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Sylveen’s other scope of training lies within, massage, sports massage, craniosacral therapy, biomechanics and personal training.
Sylveen has a specialist interest in the field of ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) /CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and Fibromyalgia and is The Perrin Technique™ licensed practitioner for West Yorkshire.
Sylveen has always had a keen interest in rehabilitation and the sporting field especially during her career as an athlete representing Great Britain at junior level as a javelin thrower.
Sylveen understands the demands of competitive sport, the frustration of injury and realises how vital and integral a physiotherapists role is in maintaining a well tuned athlete. Due to an extensive background in social care and working within various areas of physiotherapy Sylveen has also developed an interest in working with people with physical disabilities, neurological conditions and mental health and is passionate about helping people to improve, restore or just to maintain function and quality of life.
