Vikki Garner Podiatrist/Chiropodist BSc(hons), HCPC, MChS, is Registered with the Health professionals council. My interest in chiropody began eleven years ago during which time I worked with elderley people with visual impairments, many of whom had diabetes. We had a continual struggle to appoint a Chiropodist who’s input, was particularly essential for our diabetic clients.
During 1998 I began a 3 year Undergraduate Podiatry course.
In 2001 I graduated with a BSc(hons) degree, a certificate in local anasthesia and a prescribing certificate . In 2004 I succesfully completed an MSc module in Rheumatology.
I began working in the NHS in 2001 and I continue to do so on a part time basis.
As a podiatrist I specialise in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the foot. I endeavour to provide a professional but friendly service and have over twenty years of experience in working with people.
I joined the team at Markland in October 2007. I offer a fully comprehensive footcare service, treatments include all foot related problems e.g. corns and callus, bunions, chilblains, ingrowing toe nails, toe nail /skin infections,verrucae, heel pain etc and advice on footwear and foot care.
